More than 540 million people worldwide live with diabetes. In Armenia, every 11th adult has this disease. Considering the seriousness of the problem, St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center hosted world-renowned immunologist and leading diabetes specialist Professor Matthias von Herrath. This was his second visit to Armenia, during which innovative programs and joint collaborations were discussed. The meeting ended with traditional Armenian warmth – a treat of gata.
